Support for onboard medics

For yachts who do have a medical room or perhaps a lot of equipment onboard to maintain, our Enhanced Health Partner solution is a practical add-on, that provides medical professionals with ongoing clinical guidance and oversight.

Onboard medics often have to carefully manage expectations about their capabilities onboard, whilst balancing their time with another role. MedAire help by providing an additional layer of support, providing peer-to-peer support to make their role easier.

We do this by:

  • Assisting with medical handovers between rotational crew
  • Arranging equipment maintenance and calibration schedules: To ensure that all medical devices and equipment onboard are functioning optimally and safely
  • Consulting on voyage risks: Providing an overview of the medical and security capabilities in areas of travel.
    • If there are particular concerns, you may want to consider further planning tools like a Voyage Risk Assessment or Medical Evacuation Response Plan.
