Fort Lauderdale, 29 October 2024: MedAire has today expanded its digital eShop solution to the U.S., enhancing the process of ordering medication within the U.S. and Canada.
The eShop is an e-commerce solution that allows new and existing customers to order and purchase medical kits, equipment and medication online, in a safe manner that complies with local standards for medication distribution practices.
The European version of the eShop, connected to MedAire’s fulfilment centre in the Netherlands, has been active since 2022. To-date, over 1,200 orders have been processed through the eShop, in an average turnaround time of seven days[1]. The introduction of the U.S. eShop will provide an improved, standardised experience to more global customers.
Some instant benefits for those using the site include: the ability to easily manage and edit orders online, differentiate between regulatory requirements and additional crew medication and equipment, instantly receive invoices, view past order history and gain tracking updates.
For existing clients, the eShop works alongside MediTrack, MedAire’s new medical inventory management tool, which allows users to track usage and monitor expired medications. MedAire's significant investments into these digital solutions continue to enhance the experience for clients while managing their medication and equipment onboard.
How resupplying a medical kit works with the MedAire eShop
- Clients log used items within MedAire’s web-based medical inventory management system, MediTrack, which provides clear visibility of replenishment needs.
- The required resupply items, including items previously logged as used and any items expiring within the agreed time frame, are uploaded into the client’s eShop account.
- Accessing the eShop through their MedAire Client Portal, clients can review the resupply items and also add any additional kits and equipment needed. An invoice is generated instantly, and clients can select to pay via bank transfer or credit card.
For clients who also have a MedAire membership, MediTrack connects to MedAire’s medical team, who can make recommendations for treatment onboard, based on an accurate inventory.
