Members planning flight operations to and from Abuja, Nigeria should be aware of a planned six-week closure of Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport. The airport (ICAO: DNAA, IATA: ABV) plans to close on 8 March for runway repairs.
Flights bound for Abuja will be diverted to Kaduna Airport (ICAO: DNKA, IATA: KAD, Kaduna state), 130 miles (210km) to the north during this time.
Carefully review your flight schedules if planning operations to Abuja during the affected period.
If using an alternate overnight operating location, ensure you have conducted a specific pre-travel threat assessment for suitability.
